Committee Meetings

The VCCT Committee meets quarterly. The meetings are open to the public and will be posted in the newspaper, on public radio, and on bulletin boards around town. The meetings are held in the conference room at Connecting Ties, Inc. For information, please contact Rhonda Sambo at 907-835-3274.

♦ Providence Valdez Medical Center ♦

Providence Valdez Medical Center provides quality inpatient and outpatient health care to patients, residents and visitors with an array of local services. It's an 11 acute care/swing-bed facility. Our team of physicians, nurses, and support staff deliver compassionate, quality care to all patients.

♦ Valdez Senior Citizens? Center ♦

Valdez Senior Center serves as community focal point of aging and concerns for older persons; they provide older persons of Valdez activities, services, and programs that will enhance their dignity, support their independence, and encourage their involvement with the community as a whole thus enhancing the quality of life of older persons.

♦ Frontier Community Services ♦

Works with Developmental Disabilities, STAR Program, Early Intervention Program, FASD Program, Mental Health Program, Senior Services & PCA Programs to benefit the community of Valdez.

♦ Advocates for Victims of Violence ♦

The Valdez shelter provides a 24-hour Crisis and Support Line, Emergency Food, Fuel and Shelter, Advocacy Services, Legal Advocacy, Support Groups, Community Outreach and Prevention Programs, Children Services, Information and Referral Services, and Volunteer Opportunities.

♦ Providence Valdez Counseling Center ♦

Providence Valdez Behavioral Health provides compassionate behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and adults.

♦ Big Brothers Big Sisters in Valdez ♦

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska strengthens our communities by providing mentors to all children who need and want a caring adult role model - special friends who can help them expand their horizons, realize their potential and enrich their futures - changing their lives. We also have volunteer opportunities available.

♦ City of Valdez ♦

The City of Valdez is a home-rule city under Title 29 of Alaska statutes. The City provides all the municipal services desired by residents within its boundaries. The City also functions as a coordinating agency for all organizations providing transportation within the city limits. This cooperative effort results in a transportation plan that is ultimately approved by the Valdez City Council and is recognized by the State of Alaska for purposes of continuing state support.
